ProPak India 2022 Exhibition & Conference, Bengaluru:

ProPak India 2022 Exhibition & Conference being held for the first time at BIEC, Bengaluru was a great event for businesses & knowledge sharing organized by Informa Markets India Ltd held between Sept 21st to 23rd, 2022. SIES School of Packaging - Packaging Technology Centre was the supporting organisation for ProPak India 2022 Conference held on Sept. 22nd, 2022 (Day 2). The Panel Discussions designed & moderated by SIES SOP PTC Director Prof. Prasad Balan Iyer, were on:
1. "Sustainability in Packaging - Present Scenario & Way Forward" which involved valuable points discussed by following panelists who brought to table the latest developments and the issues related to sustainability.

Industrial Training Programme – Sept 2022

1-day online training program was conducted on "Packaging Sustainability & Non-Plastic Alternatives” on Sept. 17, 2022. 16 industry delegates registered and attended the training program from Food packaging, FMCG, Industrial Goods and other industries.

Training on Advanced Instrumentation Techniques - June-Sept 2022

Training programs on Advanced Instrumentation Techniques for students from various colleges & industry personnel ranging from 1-day to 5-day duration have been conducted on GC-MS, HPLC, Ion Chromatography and FTIR Spectroscopy at SIES School of Packaging from July to Sept 2022 with 69 delegates trained totally.

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations on Aug 13 & 15, 2022

Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations on Aug 13 & 15, 2022 were jointly held by students and staff of SIES SOP PTC and SIES IIEM. Various events such as Quiz, Poster Making, Case Study on Plastic Waste to Wealth Technologies were conducted on Aug 13, 2022, On Aug 15, 2022 the students performed patriotic Songs, Dance, Skit and Mime creating a patriotic atmosphere, putting the minds together to see where India has reached in 75 years after independence, discussing the issues in front of us, actions to be taken and what is in store for the future when young professionals enter the industry, shaping the society in the next #amritkaal leading up to 100 years of independence!

Packaging e-Conclave was organized by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry on August 2, 2022. The panel discussion was on the topic Experts’ Roundtable – "Unity in Diversity: Need of Standardization of Packaging in India”. SIES SOP Star Awards 2021

The SIES SOP Star Awards 2021 Ceremony was held on April 10, 2022 at Nerul Campus, for which Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs & Food & Public Distribution and Textiles, Government of India Shri. Piyush Goyal delivered a Video Address. Mr. AVPS Chakravarthi, Global Ambassador of World Packaging Organisation was the Guest of Honour. 96 awards including three President’s Awards were given for Packaging Excellence.

SIES SOP Star Awards 2020 Virtual Ceremony

The SIES SOP Star Awards Virtual Ceremony was held on June 26, 2021 and received an excellent response from the Packaging Industry. Prof. Paul Singh, Professor Emeritus at School of Packaging, Michigan State University, USA was the Guest of Honour and Mr. AVPS Chakravarthi was the Special Guest gracing the occasion. The online event saw over 100 attendees.
