An alumni association is an association of former students. These associations often organise social events, publish newsletters or magazines, and raise funds for the organization. Many provide a variety of benefits and services that help alumni maintain connections to their educational institution and fellow graduates. Additionally, such groups often support institutions, and play a role by value added contributions in the growth of their institution and student fraternity. They also bring in friendships and business relationships with people of similar background.
The SIES School of Packaging which is 20 years old has over 1000 students from all its courses comprising of Two year Post Graduate, One Year Part Time and One year Distance Learning. These students have spread in various industries in various locations.
SCHOOL OF PACKAGING ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (SOPAA) wishes to harness the synergy of these past students to the benefit of all and to the discipline of Packaging Technology. November 28, 2010 marked the inauguration of the SOPAA. The logo for the SOPAA was also inaugurated.
